This site is intended to provide information relating to all aspects of the Edmonton City Centre Airport and all the businesses that operate there. From the long and glorious history as the oldest Certified airport in Canada up to the current times where it is under seige and facing pending closure. Hopefully you will find information and pictures that are enjoyable, articles and comments that stimulate you to action in support of its continuing existence and overall a better understanding of its glorious past, tenuous present and potential future.
The Edmonton City Centre Airport plays a vital role in making Edmonton one of Canada’s leading health centres. It is a hub for air ambulance, medivac, organ transplants and other essential health services for all of Alberta, the Northwest Territories, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. It also contributes to the safety and security of our province. The Edmonton Police Service, RCMP and the Canadian Forces are all major users of the facility.
The airport is essential to the long term success of Alberta’s Capital Region. Let's work together to ensure the ECCA continues to be an important part of Edmonton's future. Check back frequently for updates on our activities, and feel free to contact us if you would like to contribute in any way.
Enjoy! And whether it's volunteering to help out at one of our events, sending an email or a letter to a City Councilor, an MLA or an MP, no action is too small or insignificant. They are all vitally important and greatly appreciated.
